The Theseus Ensemble
...exploring music's labyrinths...
The Theseus Ensemble is dedicated to the exploration of the labyrinths of modern music, and to sharing our discoveries with our audiences. Our performances focuses on challenging works of the late 20th and 21st centuries, and with thoughtful programming and approachable presentation we aim to illuminate the sometimes forbiddingly labyrinthine complexities of this repertoire, while drawing connections between music and other areas of the arts, science and nature.
The ensemble comprises some of the UKs leading young professional instrumentalists, many of whom work regularly with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
